2006 fuel injected C50 exhaust question

I've probably talked myself out of the aftermarket systems. I've pretty much decided I kind of like it the way it is. I can find other things to spend that $600 on.

Thanks

Is the V&H staggered slash cut system really that loud?

What did you say? I can't hear you over the exhaust noise. Yes. It is loud.

So are the Cruzers. I put smart parts baffles in my cruzers to get the decimals down. I really like the sound of them now throatier but not invasive imo

So why don't you find an old pair of stock pipes. and put those back on? They would probably sell for way less and be a lot quieter. Some people might even give them away.

Another V&H question. Do the staggered slash cut pipes come with baffles? If so, do they quiet these bad boys down a bit?

It's quite apparent you talked yourself back into the obnoxious sound since this post.

This is just my two cents and no one asked me for my opinion but: I own an 07 C50. When I bought it I immediately put Cobra pipes and lowered the rear end two and a half inch. It looked really cool and sounded really really loud. After riding it around like that for about a year I went back to stock on everything. I realized the cool sound I was looking for was just annoyingly loud. Wasn't cool at all. And I didn't really realize how uncomfortable the ride had become until going back to stock height. Live and learn I guess. I would avoid drilling out a new set of Mufflers or exhaust as you will not get a cool sound and you will have ruined a good Muffler.

I hope I don't come across as rude but putting aftermarket exhaust on a C50 in my opinion does not get that cool Rumble like my sons Harley 883. That's the sound I was after when I put my Cobra exhaust on my bike and although it did make it very very very loud it was never very cool. I would have traded the loudness for the sound of his bike in a heartbeat. But you're never going to get that on a C50 no matter what pipes you run. Now that I have gone back to OEM exhaust my Harley Rider son says he actually loves the way the C50 sounds...imagine that.
