40 Rear 36 Front, adjusted shock next to last firmest setting never had any problem. Roads here in WV aren't in the best shape either. Combined weight both of us 380 lbs.

Lucille makes me mile at a time....

Wife and I ride 2up regularly. Used recommended pressures and never changed the shock. Only changed the brake adjustment. I forgot the brake adjustment 1 time and 65 miles later my drum was a beautiful gold color. It over heated and glazed the brake. We had less rear brake than normal and still rode from Indiana to Gattlinburg for vacation. Had to be extra careful with, virtually no rear brake.

I can head East or West, it doesn't matter as long as it's on 2 wheels.
