Yes.

I've only ridden this bike twice, and not all that far.
But with a new seat, and new feet, I'm subtly hinting to the wife about a trip up to lake superior (Brainerd) to see a friend of mine this summer.
If I decide to, she'll most certainly want to go, which leaves me pondering what to do with 2 dogs and a dozen chickens.

Well. if you attach a sidecar and get some goggles for the dogs, install a hitch and get a trailer and turn it into a mobile coop. You should be good to go then.

I would run them if you just wanna putter around near your place, but I'd stay under 30 mph.

On another note, that hip must be feeling great if you're contemplating a 5,000 mile ride.

New tires can be slick. Had a mechanic tell me about a guy who picked up his bike with new tires, gunned it out of the parking lot straight into a telephone pole
Softer starts, easier on the brakes & don't head straight for the twisties for 50-100 miles.

In AZ, there's hardly ever a problem heating up tires.
