Viking Bags

If you're wanting some new Viking bags, they're giving 25 percent off for Memorial day. I installed these as throw-overs until I can decide exactly how I want them placed on the bike. I didn't want to keep drilling holes in the bags. Added some new grips while I was at it.

Garage
I have their more affordable bags Nomad USA bag (Viking off-brand) with studs. It was dirt cheap, and looked very good, but the quality is complete POS. After about 3 months, glue is coming apart, one of the pleather panels is coming apart at the fold. Considering a comparable Viking branded bag is $300-$400 and Nomad's USA MSRP was about $100 (I did get it cheaper during one of the sales) this is probably to be expected. Mounting/dismounting saddlebags is such a PIA on C50, that I said I don't even want to deal with the warranty (even though they've offered a replacement if I send it back). This experience left an unpleasant aftertaste with Viking manufacturing process...
