Nope, I have a three inch hole in my stomach that refuses to heal. I'm going to see a new doctor on Monday and hopefully he's going to refer me to a wound clinic. My surgeon refuses to refer me, he doesn't think it's a problem and it should probably close in the next year or so. I think he's afraid the wound clinic will say it's because he botched the closing part of the surgery. The up side is I'm gathering all sorts of parts for the bike even though I'm not allowed to lift half of them yet, lol.

Sorry to hear your not back on the road.

Doesn't sound right that it should take that long to heal.

Second opinions are always full of good information. If the new doc says it was botched, get a third doctor's opinion. If the two new doctors are in agreement, have them get you to a specialist to confirm. Then, go after the first one and let one of the others start the process to get it fixed.

The human body was designed to heal quickly. It shouldn't take a long time unless something went wrong.

Ride your bike, your way, at your speed, for your reasons. Never let anyone else decide who, where, how and why you should ride.
Ride for the love of riding and nothing else and every trip will be an adventure and a memory to be relived over and over.

Thanks pcdoctorcom, I think the problem is mostly with the way they closed it, I even had the surgeons Nurse practitioner say she didn't lie the way they stapled it because it didn't look like it was holding things closed.

And DCinCT, that sounds great but I think I'll have to pass this time.

I'll say a little prayer that you do get to see a wound specialist. Wound clinics often do fantastic work.

Will refrain from saying what I think about the doc who declines to refer you to one, and I'm very sorry you can't simply go to a wound clinic without insurance underwriting it.

It was great except for a really bad fish tail on wet roads. Though I'm thankful I stayed right side up.

SideWinder, just saw the bike you're selling. Looks like we have the exact same ride. Year and model.

Thanks, I think he's afraid of a lawsuit. It's really not what I have in mind though. I'd just like to heal. Oh and thanks for the prayers, I can use as much of that as I can get.

I'm glad you stayed up too. I lost to the death wobble on a CB750 once on a wet road in the middle of the night in Indiana years ago...not fun at all. lol

I guess I'm going to keep the bike for now. I've been bored enough to start buying up all sorts of farkles for it. I was thinking of trading up to a touring bike next year before all of this other stuff, but I think I've accumulated enough stuff that I'd probably should keep this one for another season or two. lol
