Trike Rider Hit in Parking Lot

The wife and I were on Our way to a restaurant, late this afternoon, but first stopped at a nearby plaza for a few needs.

A trike rider was making His way past the Winn-Dixie market, when a small red automobile darted out from one of the isles.
The car smacked the trike, moving the back end of the trike at least a yard.

We stayed away from the accident, went into the store, and as We were leaving the plaza, an ambulance and a fire pumper truck, arrived at the scene.

Apparently, the rider was injured, but to what degree, I don't know, though, they did place Him onto a gurney.

I'll keep My ears and eyes open for local news regarding this unfortunate incident.

Another car driver suffering from cranial-rectum-itis............

Lead, or follow, but just stay out of my way.

I've always been amazed at how inconsiderate drivers are in what is assumed to be a pedestrian zone, called a parking lot. An area that has an incredible high instance of pedestrians and moving vehicles in very close proximity to each other. Distracted drivers will kill us all if society does not modify what's acceptable when behind the wheel of a motorized vehicle. But, all I see going forward is more and more technology inserted into vehicles that distract us... I'm afraid we won't change our habits until horrible consequences are the result of our actions. It's the you vs me complex and I'm more important than you. Pay attention, be considerate, and we can all get to our final destination later than sooner...

I actually got "Into it" one day with a motorist in the parking lot that I was walking through. He felt that he didn't need to slow down for pedestrians... not being one to hold my tongue, it was really nasty! It's amazing to me as well that some people are just completely oblivious to their surroundings, and others get hurt. I haven't seen him since then, maybe he shops elsewhere now.

If you gave me a piece of your mind, I'd probable move to another state just to avoid you.
JK.... sometimes it takes getting yelled at in public to wake people up. The embarrasment may be just the ticket.

I can head East or West, it doesn't matter as long as it's on 2 wheels.
