No Power and Blowing Main Fuse

SO today while traveling home at about 60mph my bike died no power what so ever. Being its an 07 C50 and had the original battery in it i figured that was it and got a new battery and replaced it at which time i saw the main fuse was blown. Now every time i turn the ignition to on the main fuse blows. Any help would be appreciated!!

You've most likely got a short somewhere.
You're going to have to trace it down.
It's highly possible a wire somewhere has rubbed through against the frame.

The good news is that the fuse worked and didn't burn your bike down.
The bad news is that you're going to have to pull the covers and probably the tank to find it.
It could be anything anywhere at this point.

I'm sure others will come along with some suggestions.

How often do you ride the bike?
Has it been stored outside for a period of time?
Rodents just love wires.

I wish you luck.

Battery connected in reverse, or possibly the ignition switch shorted, or kill switch shorted, or kickstand switch shorted.

Battery is not connected in reverse. Pretty sure the fuse blew for the main reason of dying while running. Seeing if anyone had this issue and where a good place to start was, Could be the ignition as it had been getting harder to turn the key at times and sometimes needed wiggled to turn.

Do you have any aftermarket accessories hooked up that run off the ignition? The circuit is weak and if your running accessories without relays then you may have fried the ignition.

A popular spot for shorts is where the wires enter the headlight bucket. Sometimes they get chaffed there and will cause an intermittent short.

Good luck!!!

That would be one place to look for sure.
