03 vl800 oil light on bike cut off

I was ridding and the oil light came on. Bike started running real funny. Damn near cuttin off. Wen I did get it running for a few seconds, with throttle wide open still had no power. Help me

Have you checked the oil?

If the oil light came on, then the sensor detected dangerously low oil pressure. If that is the case and you were riding the bike, you most likely damaged the engine due to a lack of lubrication. Check the oil level by holding the bike straight up and look at the sight glass. If there is no oil in the glass, then it confirms the sensor's data and you wrecked the engine.
