Can you use front turn signals on the rear?

Yes - I did that on a 2008 C50. Additional, with front turn signals installed in the back, you have an additional wire for running lights (you would need to tap into a wire that is always on with ignition key turned on (e.g. your break/running light in the back). Connecting running lights wire is optional.

One caveat: rear running lights have to be red, not amber. My solution: installed Red/Amber switchback led's with clear lenses (I have white/amber switchback LEDs in the front, with clear lenses). They change color from red running lights and blink amber when your turn signals are engaged - very cool look and fairly easy to do. Also, if you use LEDs in your turn signals, I would recommend swapping out the turn signal rellay:

It might be the case in some locations, but I don't think it is universally accepted across US. If you look at cars, and rules are generally the same for all motor vehicles, there are no production cars sold with anything but red parking/running lights in the back. You may have either amber or red turn signals in the back, but generally not amber running/parking lights.

Yes Beez, everything is fine.

Thanks for the responses. We ordered OEM rear turn signals, received front signals (with the extra wire). Called the shop back, they said the part ordered is correct even though it is marked clearly as "front signals." So, Mike took it out tonight, hooked it up and Voila!! They work!! The extra wire was the confusion, but I guess you just leave it unconnected. It got rid of that rapid blinking problem I had after installing the cheapo replacement signals at the end of last season.
