Hello new to this site, first volusia what is good oil for a 04 volusia

Oil. As long as it is not automotive formulation (look for the API seal that says energy conserving - stay away from this stuff).

The best is Mobil 1 15w50.

let me see if i can get the hornet's nest buzzing...i used to own a big rig and drove delivering freight from coast to coast...my diesel engine got nothing but Shell Rottella full synthetic high temperature diesel oil...diesel engines are the hardest working engines in the world...so if an oil can stand up the punishment of a diesel engine it should be good for everything...IMO...so...i use Shell Rottella full synthetic high temperature diesel oil in all my engines...motorcycles, lawn mowers, car, and pickup truck....it works for me
