cam chain tensioner removal??

I recently picked up a 2004 vl800 and it needs a cam chain tensioner in the front cylinder. have the engine out and the cylinder pulled. though I cant seem to get the flywheel off. do these just need to be pulled with a standard flywheel puller or am I missing something.

just curious, how many miles on it,and how do you know it needs it? I definitely would replace both tensioners. The chains are too long now,it could very well not be the tensioner as a culprit.I have a thread about tensioners here if you are interested.
