You need to change the rear drive hub. The drive shaft is necessary to accommodate the new rear drive. Acquire a C90 type rear drive. The drive shaft will need to be mechanically altered to fit the shorter length spacing between the drive and ujoint assembly.

To answer the following question.

Does the DJ Drive mod affect speedometer accuracy?
My 2007 C50's speedometer has always been very accurate. Same speed as others riding with me. Always close to those roadside speed digital readouts.
After my DJ Drive mod it felt like everybody was driving faster. So I ran a test against a GPS speedometer app.
Here are my results:

GPS App Speedometer
20 21

30 32
40 43
50 54
60 65
70 76
80 86
Not really interested in going over 80 mph

So on my bike the answer is yes but only noticeable above 50 mph.

No, It's based on the rotation of the front wheel.

dj/speedo

My bike (2012 C50T) was 5 mph fast the day I bought it. With the DJ installed it is still 5 mph fast.
