Bump!

Who knows what about replacing or upgrading front fork springs on the C50 (2005). I want a smoother ride as my head is tired of banging around the inside of my helmet after hitting every bump, pothole or lip in the roads of Central Mass.
I have no idea if I need "softer" or "firmer" springs...but I'm guessing I need something. I just hit 20k on the bike (that's both miles and what I've invested in it...LOL).

What comes to mind peoples?
Thanks in advance!

ps. I don't any mig welding after all...short story, very uninteresting, but positive outcome.

Reach out to Paraquat. We did front springs on his at one of the wrench party's, I believe he went with Progressive. I remember it wasn't fun getting the old fork oil out, but I'm pretty sure the pump we used is still hanging in the cave.

Ask him if he's happy with the outcome.

Yes I can see where picking the bike up and turning it over to get the fork oil out could be a hassle

Actually dumping the bike over isn't the problem, getting it back up sucks 😎

Kurt maybe your already planning on doing this, if your changing out the complete exhaust system I would recommend changing out the header gaskets. I changed out both the Victory and Indian gaskets when I removed he headers.

Planning on being there. Have a couple of small projects: horn replacement, install hidden antenna, and add led fairing trim. Should help keep us busy for a little while.

Would love to join you. Dont think I have any work needed, unless someone can tell me of a great loud horn to install.

Thanks for the advice Peter.. Already have the gaskets. Why only do a job half way?

See below, as I probably won't be doing any work on the bike this time. I'm only going to tell the story once.
