Got a new scoot last Saturday

Hi all,
Iíve been wanting a new scoot for awhile now, I was thinking real seriously about the Indian Scout Sixty. When I test drove one I was a little disappointed it wasnít what I thought it would be, donít get me wrong, theyíre beautiful scoots, but it was on the small side, and a whole lot of bucks, and frankly I didnít think it was worth that much more than my C50. Saturday I stopped off at the Honda, Kawasaki shop and test drove a new 2018 Vulcan S, after 10 mins in the saddle I knew it was the scoot for me. I still have my C50, and always will, the Vulcan S and C50 are very different scoots, so to my mind they compliment each other. Now keep in mind Iíve never drove the really big cruisers, but was, and am very happy with my C50, sheís bigger, heavier, smoother, and more comfortable than the Vulcan S, but the Vulcan S is smaller, lighter, much more maneuverable, and way faster than the C50, so to my mind having both scoots is the best of both worlds. If I want to take a nice long relaxing trip, itís the C50, if I want to go out and have fun on winding roads, and just kicking up my heels a bit, the Vulcan S is the way to go. The floorboards on the C50 has me spoiled as Iím not used to riding scoots with foot pegs, but thatís minor, itís either get used to them, or get a set of floorboards for the Vulcan S. The chains gonna need to be lubed about ever 200-300 miles, again no big deal. So far about the only thing I donít like about the Vulcan S is where they put the air filter, itís a really big job getting to it, for a person with my skill level Iím better off to let the stealer service it once a yr.

Congrats on the new ride! The Vulcans are nice bikes, a lot of members go to them after their time with the C50.

Enjoy your new ride. No valve adjustments on the new one I presume.

Always an exciting time when you get a new set of wheels. Sounds like you have a winner there and I understand the "need" for two separate bikes. I just picked up a Yamaha Road Star for my house in Arizona. Much different riding needs in the open and hilly terrain in Northern AZ. Keeping my Volusia also for the local rides to town and around the area.

Best of luck with the new bike and ride safe.

Congrats and many happy and Safe miles.

I can head East or West, it doesn't matter as long as it's on 2 wheels.

Congrats and nice to hear a comparison on the Scout. I always thought they looked small too.
