Some of those lists amaze me. I'm on my third...And I ride a lot.
I tend to buy a bike and ride it forever.

2004 Vespa ET4. Not a "beginner" bike. I like scooters and this was the gold standard at the time, but as I started touring more and more and my commute switched to mostly highway, a motorcycle made more sense. I'd still have it, but I'm far too distracted to own and maintain two bikes at a time.

2005 Honda VLX. This was my girl until last year when it's age and accumulated wear and the anticipated cost of future maintenance caused me to trade it in. Otherwise, I'd probably still be riding it.

2009 Suzuki Boulevard C50. I'm still finding my way around it mechanically (Thanks for all the help and advice I've received on this forum). The Honda was far far easier to maintain, but so far the C50 has been a very reliable ride and I have every intention of keeping it for a long time. I'm getting it prepped for a new touring and camping season now.

I like cruisers, but I don't care for over-large cruisers. The C50 fits me and my needs nicely.

Not only the coolest, but it generated a new motorcycle phrase, "Drifting with Duffy". This phrase expresses all that is right about motorcycling.

I never actually counted how many bikes I've had and now I'm too old to remember 'em all. In the early 80's I owned a full service station and kept some of my bikes in one of the bays. People would see them and tell me where a bike was or that I could have their old bike if I would just come and get it. I wound up with a lot of 3 wheelers and old dirt bikes. Most were junk but I also got some really good ones too.

In no particular order but, the 1st one was a barn find Cushman Eagle 100.

The next was an Indian 90. I learned about gravity on this one.

305 Honda dream.

Kawasaki 400

Yamaha 125 (my 1st new bike)

Kawasaki 650

Suzuki 750

Kawasaki 1000 kow thou

A matching pair of Penton 125's

Yamaha 650 basket case, bored to a 750, Honda car ignition, Harley rear end, raked, old Indian tool box, and I can't remember what other bikes were involved in this Frankenstein but it sure ran good. I owned this bike twice.

2003 Volusia (which led me to this group)

And my last bike, 2006 Victory Vegas.
