Horizontally? It will go all the way up to the speed limit.

Vertically? Rough guess on terminal velocity is 175mph

A few summers ago, Ron and I were riding to Washington DC along I66 between Luray Virginia and the city. We were passed by a brown Vic, doing a buck something. I've known Ron for a very long time and have put down a bunch of miles with him. When he sees bait like that, he has to take it. So off he went and off I went with him. In years past, it would have been Ron having fun for a while, then realizing he'd ditched his buddy, slowing way down and waiting for me to catch up. He was more than a little surprised to look in his mirror and see my CTX right there with him. We were doing around 115 at the time, which really didn't seem all that fast anymore.

I topped out at between 110-115mph. That was last year on my ‘04 VL-800. I’m longer and lighter than you described w/no modifications on the bike yet. As far as I know, everything’s stock with 2 almost empty saddle bags and windshield.
This year I need to get a ramp for my truck so I can drop the kids off and ride solo.

Only had my Versys up to 85 but feels like it will go much higher.

When I'm on my C50, and want to go faster, I just close my eyes.
It's at that point, I feel like I'm going wayyy too fast.

And my Harley just hangs with the BMW crowd in the mountains.

With the DJ drive, I can cruise at 85 mph...90 if I have to but it gets shakey after 85.
Haven't had the need to go faster...or desire so far.

The C50 is not a bike built for speed. Nor is it set up to handle high speed.

If you regularly like to go faster than 80mph, you need a different bike.

I'm soiling my panties just reading these posts. I think I did 60 once but I had to exhale eventually.

Did 70 on my Triumph a few times...that was more comfortable.
