Unexpected...

I left my Stratoliner at the repair shop this morning. It had developed an oil leak somewhere low on the crankcase. Seeing as how it was also due for the scheduled service, and it is just about time to park it for the winter, it seemed to be a good idea. I probably should have checked the temperature outside before I made arrangements for a ride home, it was a wee bit chilly.(just below 40 Fahrenheit)
The temperature was not the issue. When I handed the key over, I had the same feeling as when I leave my dogs at the kennel. Sort of that guilty sadness tinged with anxiety and worry. I think I am more attached to the Strat than I was the Bully, although I do enjoy visiting the Bully when I go to see my grandkids.

The Bully was sold to my son in law. There is still a pair of grand bikes at my other kid's home, including a custom 02 Vol, but right now, I am planning on how much I can get done in the space usually occupied by the blue ox.

I would put a fluffy soft piece of rug on the ground for it to rest on when it gets home from the shop...unless of course a heated blanket to cover it might work might get you some points with the ride.

Whats the big hurry...slow down and enjoy the ride!

I am starting to think my garage may have gremlins.

I was well into a woodworking project, when my planer/joiner started throwing metal shavings. I do not know what it was planing inside, but I have a nice collection of what appears to be steel wool, and seven boards that need planed before they can become the tabletop I started to make this morning.

Luckily, I have a second electric planer, if that fails, I have hand planes, which never fail.

At least I got the edges jointed before it when kaput.
