With the tail light assembly off it would be a good time to also install a lighted license plate frame (without a light on the plate you might fail inspection).

I was going to ask, how do you light up the license plate? I think in Texas, you are suppose to have a light to light up the plate.

Great mod though.

With this mod there is no light directly shinning on the license plate. The lighted plate cover is a good idea. I would be easy to run the wires up into the tail light assembly from the bottom since it is open under there.

I decided on this mod as my first one for my bike. I didnt feel comfortable drilling through bracket while it was in the default location, so i spun it 180* and had my dad hold it for me. All in all the mod took about 20mins.

I even pulled the rubber off the backing plate, flipped it, and reglued it on the 'correct' way. I used the license plate reflectors that held my 30day tag in place to cover the original holes.

Was wondering if the stock brake light cover can be flipped upside down so it would illuminate the lowered plate (Is going to go investigate this when I get a free moment).

I like this alot though.
