Got Pac's kit put on yesterday with NO HICCUPS!! Thanks for getting out for me so fast!! All parts (including zipties) were in there and good instructions as well! definitely took the hard parts out for me lol! Here are some photos of it installed
Very well oiled filter!
Another shot of the filter
Full kit on --- Kinda hard to see the breather filter and all in this but it is on the right.
Finished product
Sorry Pac... I completely forgot to photograph the kit out of the box .
Great kit!! Makes the naked jugs much much easier!! Definitely worth the money. Saved me a lot of headaches and parts runs etc... _________________

PM me your e-mail for PayPal invoicing, and a shipping add
ress, to get on the list. If I overlooked you, just PM me to remind me. |
Nice kit, so you sell these? Do you have a site with info? I'm wanting to do this as well so I can remove the box and pair, then put one of those Harley flame covers on the side. |

Does your Boulevard/Volusia look a little wider than it should? Do you think there’s a nice figure hiding under that extra bulk? If you’ve got nice jugs that you want to show off naked, how can you do it? With “Robbie's Jugs Deluxe”, that’s how! For just $47.95(including shipping) you will get easy to follow step-by-step instructions, complete with pictures and ALL the parts you need to do it. Join the ranks of those who go naked, and order yours TODAY! |
Getting me your e-mail will get you a PayPal invoice, but to get it shipped, I NEED a shipping address as well. I'm working on getting up a web site, but for now, you can see pics in my gallery, the gallery of pass. and 06bouley. _________________ Some people think that they know. I want to take you up on this, but I pray the instructions are very detailed. I worked all day yesterday just removing the pair valve and I'm still not done. Unless I am doing it wrong, that thing is a bastard to work on and I have the tank off and everything. I can't imagin how I am going to get that front breather tube off without tearing the whole front end apart. DAMNNNNNN!!! there has to be an easier way.
It doesn't help that I am an ignoramous when it ocmes to modding but I'm giving it a try. _________________ Let's Ride!!

You aren't doing anything wrong. That front tube is a real PAIN!!! But, if you follow Mocc's instructions, it works out - but it's still a pain. When I did mine, I pulled the front exhaust pipe, the horn, and the radiator loose. And it was still a four-letter-word-fest! Save the left0over hardware from Mocc's kit - you can use it to cover the bolt hoes from the airbox. If you can make it through the PAIR removal, you do the air box. You will need to re-jet your carb, and if you aren't comfortable doing that, I would sugest doing the mod and letting someone who knows set up the carb. If you want a good explanation of my instructions, send a PM to 06Bouley or to PASS. _________________ Some people think that they know. But, they don't know enough to know that they don't know.

2 days ago I got that front tube off WITHOUT removing any fan, radiator, pipe or nothin'. Pain, YES, and I'm told I have large paws and long fingers (and FEET, what ever THAT may mean! ) but I endeavored to persevere! W-ever-TF THAT means. But for all o' my long parts, members, and everything, the KEY was my extra long lil' 8MM open end wrench

Yes, Moose, you are right. But, if you don't have a long 8mm, you kinda stuck removing that stuff to get in there. Maybe if you're close to a place that you could find a LONG 8mm it would be worth it! _________________ Some people think that they know. But, they don't know enough to know that they don't know.

Your right, one problem is getting the breather tube off, but for me the real pain in the ass is covering the breather hole in the heads. Trying to put gasket sealer on that little gasket and that metal plate and getting it into place is what got me cussing up a storm. Do I have to have that in place?
For now, I managed to get the back plate on, but left the front one intact and stuck a golf tee in the end of the breather hose and shoved it back behind the heads. Will that work? Will it get too hot back there and melt something?
I have to take the bike in and have my ignition switch replaced so I am thinking of having them do it. But, 1. I did not want to have to pay someone to do this and 2. not sure what they will say when I ask them to help me remove an emissions control device. Not going to a dealer, but all the same. _________________ Let's Ride!!

YES you have to have those little gaskets on!!!! The back one isn't too horrible but we had a blast getting the front one one. Since I de-aired at the same time as the pair I took the hose completely out same with all of the other associated hardware except the solinoid.... which gets tucked away. Just take deep breaths and try to stay calm and take your time.. you will eventually get that front one on. _________________
