Don't have them myself but what I like about the Jardine 2/1 exhaust system is you have the option of installing just about any muffler you want. I've thought about buying just the header pipes from someone and installing a JC Whitny fish tail muffler. I think it would look way cool.
If you buy them and don't like the sound your not stuck with an exhaust system you can't use. Just buy a different muffler. _________________

The "Y" section will discolor on almost all these systems. There is no shield there. As Bill said, you can change out the muffler with a little work. You need to neck it down and then put a shield to hide the reducer. _________________ United States Tie-Dye Czar

Not to get to far off thread but an old biker trick to ward off discoloring is to buy a can of car exhaust header spray paint and spray a heavy coat on the inside of the header pipes before installing. Many times the drop in pipe temperature is just enough to stop the pipes from discoloring. _________________

It would certainly be worth a try _________________ United States Tie-Dye Czar

I have them on my '04 LTD. Yes they will discolor at the "Y". The head pipes have a chrome cover so it's not seen...but it's still there.
They are loud on accel, but not on decel. I put in a small baffle I found on the J&P site.

the muffler connection is larger than aftermarket mufflers. I can't remember how. You need reducer. _________________ United States Tie-Dye Czar

oh okay. yeah jc whitney sales them. The pipes are on ebay, may go ahead and get them, could just use them for dual exhaust. _________________ 07 C50C Special Edition

Just so you know...you would have to cut them. The pipes are one piece until the point where the muffler slips on (to the LEFT of the y in the above picture). _________________ United States Tie-Dye Czar

There are a lot of aftermarket slip on mufflers out there. J C Whitney has a good selection at good prices and reducer sleeves too. _________________

| And pipe covers to hide the reducer that you may require to hook up a different muffler. I changed my muffler to a Peacemaker, someone changed to that muffler with the discs to change the volume-what is the name of those mufflers? |
