Im new to the forum, and need to know if there are any problems common to a 2006 VL800 Suzuki. I have 7,500 mi and am doing valve adjustment soon. Any hints would be helpful in keeping me out of trouble. I ordered new inspection cover gaskets even tho I read here I could reuse the old gaskets. Doing plugs at the same time as long as the tank is off. Any problems relating to tank removal. If I wasn't hearing of the high cost of labor at the dealer, I would have them do the work. I'd rather put the money in the gas tank.

Can anyone tell me if my 2006 c50t bike has valve cover gaskets? Getting ready to adjust valves and went to dealer to get new gaskets. He looksd it up on his computer and says they dont a gasket listed. Strange. Can someone tell me if there are gaskets on my engine. Thanks, Ron

I keep reading the many reviews regarding the time to adjust the vaslves on my 2006 c50t. They were done at 600 miles. Bike has 7,500 runnung very good. Valves have that same rattle sound as others have described here. Should I do adjustment now? Also is there a time to replace the timing chain tensioner/and or chain. Thanks,. Ron
