Hey guys

I'm replacing my tires on my '05 C50 with WWWs. I have a question Clymer's says exhaust does not need to be removed to remove the rear tire, so my question is does the axle come out easily if I support the tire and if not how do I get in there to tap it out from behind the exhaust? Any help is appreciated thanks!

P.S. I have a motorcycle jack.

that was the question....yesterday riding into work. Hourly forecast I often check when chance for rain is in the forecast showed 60% thru 11 pm then clearing...get off work at 12:30...thats works...3 pm at the time and sunny so figure have a great chance of making the 30 minute commute dry. First 15 great but then approaching a 5 mile extension highway skies grew very dark ahead...5 miles later to end of extension and entering major hiway felt the rain begin and now all of about 8 minutes away figured should be ok...approached only underpass I would have opportunity to suit up and figured not raining hard enough don't stop...big mistake..huge mistake 1/2 mile later the skies opened...the buckets started pounding I slowed to a crawl as traffic quickly came to a stall from intensity of down pour....have never gotten so drenched in the 5 minutes left of my commute. what did I learn...the rain suit in the sadle bag kept the saddle bag nice and dry. I on the other hand was soaked/drenched from head to toe. Luckily had change of clothes at work just for this reason and clothes never really dried after a 8 hour shift. Lesson learned...alot can happen in 5 minutes.

ok the other day I swear it felt like every now and then the gears were slipping a bit when I was shifting..when I noticed it I shifted a few more times but it seemed fairly normal. tonight I was riding back from my tour and the clutch handle when I shifted felt limp..like I pulled it in and it had no grab..like it was really loose. anyone get what I'm saying? hard to explain it but I pull in the handle to shift and it goes in about 1/4 -1/2 way like it's not attached to anything ? thought on this would be as always helpful. She's a 2007 C50 with 24,000k on her..hasn't given me much hassle since I bought it back in Feb. would love to know if this is common or a huge repair job? anyone...anyone...anyone?

Hello!

I've had a look at the jetting matrix and it lists the above with baffles but doesn't mention quiet baffles which I presume have a lot more back pressure than the cheese grater stock baffles? The K&N is mounted in the stock housing. Can someone very kindly point me in the right direction of what jets and set up the carb needs to be?

All the best.

Stumbled across this place last weekend while we attended Awesome Biker NIghts is Sioux City IA.

If you are headed for Sturgis and coming north on I29 thru Sioux City, this is a must stop.

http://ickeynickel.com/

The Ickey Nickle.

It's kind of a mini Buffalo Chip. They got great food, great waitresses, live music, volleyball, horseshoes, a driving range and free camping.

The Ickey Nickle is on the BUSINESS LOOP for hiway 75, 4 miles north of Rooster's Harley Davidson in Sioux City.

Within a 1 miles streatch of this hiway 75 business loop is the HD dealer, the Victory dealer, Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha. Practically one stop shopping. Kawasaki is over in South Sioux City.

Because of the river, the stock yards and the railroad, Sioux City is laid out pretty goofy and hiway 75 BUSINESS LOOP is a PIA to find. Hopefully you'd have GPS. If you end up on the 75 bypass you end up north of Ickey's and have to come back south on the business loop. It really is too hard to try to explain, it's best to ask directions to the Harley store then ask directions to Ickey's from there.

But I swear, it's well worth the hunt.
