Life can be tough some times. I must admit, they did spend hours on the ice while Mom or Dad froze their butts in the stands during practice.
Such a loss. Every game missed must lighten their pockets. Poor buggers! |

Latest word is that Bettman wants some of the players to sit down with some of the owners to try to hash things out. What a f**kin' joke! How did these guys get to be owners of teams worth hundreds of millions of dollars? By negotiating all sorts of big business deals to get there.
Not to say that the players are dummies, but the vast majority have their agent handle all their contract negotiations. For the majority of them the toughest negotiating that they've ever done was for the last thousand dollars off on their Audi, BMW or Land Rover purchase. The ensuing slaughter would be like letting the wolves into the lamb's pen.

I have been to a game that one of my great nephews played recently. He is in grade 3. I loved it. We need more of the real thing.
