Conversation on yahoo.com - Suzuki Volusia Forums : Intruder Volusia and Boulevard Forum

My email address has a yahoo.com and I recently noticed a "Conversation" feature.

When someone is on there I get their address and I guess a chance to respond or join in.

My question is:

How do I put my name on it to start a conversation and who are these people?

Is it for real or is it a virus, spam or what?

Just went to my own Yahoo account to take a look. I'd never noticed the feature before.

If those "conversations" aren't something malicious, I'll eat my hat. There was not an email address in the bunch that I recognized as being from one of my Contacts. I wouldn't touch it.

It did work for me on Yahoo.es, which is the Spanish version of Yahoo.com. I used to chat with some collegues, even my wife from my computer, before having Whatsapp.
You can only reach your contacts from Yahoo, but you get some messages from people you don't know. I never answered none of them, and I'm safe!!!!
So, it's up to you, I would say it's safe, but stay away from strangers... Most of them seem to be Russian teens

By the way, you are prompted to block them, and never get their messages again.

Their address was a bunch of weird numbers so that raised a red flag.
