After 4 years on the East Coast of Canada (and travels down the East Coast of the US, our friendly neighbour to the south), I am moving back to the wet coast; that's not a typo.

Left my bike there in August because I found a cottage near the shore that beckoned to me.

It is on an island that is 30 miles long and 6 miles wide at the widest. The population on the island is less than 2,000. My new home is 20 km from the ferry terminal; but 20 gorgeous, up, down, twisty rural kilometres with deer wandering everywhere and the smell of home.

The low side of this is that it will take 3 ferry trips to reach the mainland to go for a decent ride; meaning a few thousand km.

The high side is that I can see the water from my front deck and I will be happy to be back home on the West Coast of Canada.

Sounds like a really nice place that you have found there. Is there enough room at your cottage to host the 2014 PNW Wescalero rally???

June 18-21, 2013 The Great Missoula Flood & Scablands Rolling Rally

Plus I'm sure that there will be other rides in the works.
