Congrats on the new job Lu!

Regarding BP / health issues, I guarantee you your BP will come down as you make some lifestyle changes. Eat less and make healthier eating choices. Throw in some healthy snacks between meals. Watch the salt and sugar intake, as well as fat calories. Drink a gallon of water a day. Get into some kind of daily cardio exercise regimen. If you are still smoking, you will need to cut it out.

Best of luck with the lifestyle changes... when I started my dietary changes and cardio program several years ago (due to being over weight and having high BP, as well as sleep apnea issues), I noticed a drop in BP within the first week. I ended up dropping 50 pounds within a year and a half, and got of BP meds altogether. I have let myself go recently, due to having two surgeries within 6 months. Now that I am done with those, I am going to have to get back on track myself.

Stick with it man, I know you can do it!

Lu, congrats! Two years a go while layed off before xmas again for the winter season I fell into my current job . Former job was mech in lawn/garden .Business owner had changed prior ,was getting really hard to do my job right ,for the company or the customer !!! was the first and only employe of three being layed off .while doing the unemployment thing, checking references was asked when I could start! Talk about floored ! And Was in the automotive field ! Talked to my wife decided to try it! didnt take long to realize I love it .new boss is sooo much easier to work for/with. The job change potential was so new scarey for me .But so much less stress now dont bring it home . what stress! the wife is so much happier with me!
P.S. when I went back to give notice and pickup tool box ,offered to finish any jobs/work orders I had started (there was one still waiting on parts to be picked up NEVER did get called!!! felt sorry for the customer . Good luck on the new job , Keep up the life style changes and look to the horizons. ride on GW

Congrat Lu! I have been following the thread, but just couldn't think of much to say other than good luck with your choice.

I'm glad it seems to have worked out!

Make sure you tell the new job you already need time off for the Yankee rally and Rolling Thunder!

Wait a minute you never told us you had to pass a drug test. Your obviously not using the right ones. See the above posters for help

Now your going to get healthier, happier, and probably a new bike
