Im running cobfra street rods on my M. They sound real nice at idle but way loud at hwy speeds. The best sound comes from the engine braking though-sweet growl to em!!!

Yes, seen them advertised on the net, sadly, not available here in the UK, so will ship them over at some time. Most of the reports i've seen on these seem very complimentary, but noticed that the maker says that the carb may need rejetting after fitment. Would not be to keen on that having taken ages to get her running so well.Any views on that?

If you need help I can get them shipped to me in Canada and I can ship 'em to you in the UK..I ship there often.
I think they MAY make a difference However if you on stocks now the difference in the new pipes would require a rejetting...The extra baffles makes the requirement to rejet a little less - closer to stock back pressure and you pick up a bit of low end torque that the more open pipes take away.
On my M50 I had to remove a bit of gas from the fuel processor when I added the smartpartz versus the CRUZERS by themselves. So I think people saying the rejet is needed is due to the rejetting ALREADY for the new pipes then they need a rejet after adding the baffles. I would think the jetting would be closer to the ones used in stock pipes or soewhere inbetween stocks and the bare aftermarkets.
Hope I explained OK..
Cheers

Thanks for that, well i rejetted when i put on the HH shortcuts, and rejetted again when i fitted the cruzers, and as I say, she is 'on song' at the moment so I'm gonna leave well alone. The MOT isnt due till next year so i'll wait till nearer the time and then maybe fit them just for the test?

I like the baffles- Found the Cruzers were just WAYYYY too loud especially on the highway. They were obnoxious to the point I was ready to rip em off and put the stocks back on!

Default Just Debaffled Mine -

I did it as a short term measure until I figured out what pipes I wanted and I made a decision. The debaffled pipes sounds great to me. Love em. If you're concerned about price, you may want to give that a shot before buying something new.
