Default New pipes, need jet help!!

Am purchasing a set of 2.5" Hard Krome pipes from a member. Am going to go ahead and do the K&N filter since I need to rejet for the pipes anyway. I tried to look at the rejet matrix sticky, and just got more confused.

Can anyone help me out and tell me what jet kit I need to get for an "03 Vol to accommodate the 2.5" pipes and the K&N filter. I appreciate any help

Thanks

You will probably get a lot of different responses on this. IMO each bike is different, so what works for 1 bike may not work with another same bike. YES the matrix is confusing. On my bike, i just bought a few different larger jets and kept trying until i liked the result. My result, Cobra pipes with smartparts baffles, depaired, defootballed. I am running a 137.5 main, and a 35 pilot. and i love it. You will probably need at least a stage 2 kit, any manufacturer.

you do not NEED to rejet just for exhaust. However, if you are going to a K&N filter then you do. If you are just replacing the stock airfilter with a k&N then any stage 1 jet kit will work, ie. dynojet or cobra. If you are going to an open aircleaner system or modifing your stock airbox then you'll need to start looking for a stage 3, ie. Thunder MFG. just a set of pipes and a replacement filter the DJ or Cobra kit will include all you need
