Default The Aftermarket Exhaust Visual Reference Guide

Thought this thread would be really helpful for those of us who are either new to the Volusia/C50/M50 and are considering an aftermarket exhaust, or for those who are thinking about switching to something else. In this first post, I have listed every different exhaust system from all the manufacturers with pics, and am supplying any other info I could find on them.

I do not intend to insert links to sound or video files in this post. And anyone out there who thinks that I've either missed an exhaust system, given incorrect information, or have a good picture I could use for reference, send me a PM and I'll edit this post accordingly.

Let's get started...

COBRA

2-1/2" Streetrod Exhaust

MSRP = $499.95
Removable baffles: Yes.
This exhaust is similar to the Streetrod Slashdowns, but they have straight cut billet tips instead of the slashdown style. Also, the rear pipe is longer, and meets flush with the length of the front pipe.

2-1/2" Streetrod Slashdown Exhaust

MSRP = $499.95
Removable baffles: Yes.
This exhaust is similar to the Streedrod style, but has slashdown billet tips in place of straight ones. Also, the pipes are slightly staggered, so as to create one visual angle with both slash tips.

2" Drag Pipes

MSRP = $399.95
Removable baffles: Yes.

Classic Slashcut Exhaust

MSRP = $399.95
Removable baffles: No.

DG/HARD KROME

3" Big Straights

MSRP = $689.95
Removable baffles: Yes.
This exhaust system is very similar to 3" Res-Tech style, but does not have the reduced exhaust sound technology. Comes with straight cut Hard Tip billet end caps which are removable.

3" Res-Tech Exhaust (chrome)

3" Res-Tech Exhaust (Black Star finish)

MSRP = $744.95 (chrome)
MSRP = $719.95 (Black Star finish)
Removable baffles: Yes.
These systems are very similar to the 3" Big Straights, but they have the reduced exhaust sound technology. The Black Star finish has a semi-gloss ceramic coating. Comes with straight cut Hard Tip billet end caps which are removable.

3" Staggered Straights

MSRP = unknown
Removable baffles: Yes.
This system may currently be out of production, as it is no longer listed on Hard Krome's website. Comes with straight cut Hard Tip billet end caps which are removable.

2 Into 1 SideBurner Exhaust

MSRP = $744.95
Removable baffle:

2-1/2" Strippers (chrome)

2-1/2" Strippers (Black Star finish)

Removable baffles: No.
This exhaust is exactly the same as the American Classic Straights, except that they do not come with straight cut Hard Tip billet end caps. The Black Star finish has a semi-gloss ceramic coating. The Strippers accept either the straight, tapered, or slash cut Hard Tips, which are all sold separately at an MSRP of $79.95 each.

2-1/2" Classic American Straights (Black Star finish)
2-1/2" Classic American Straights (chrome)

MSRP = $579.95 (either finish)
Removable baffles: No.
This exhaust is exactly the same as the Strippers, except that they come with the straight cut Hard Tip billet end caps. The Black Star finish has a semi-gloss ceramic coating. This system could also accept either the tapered, or slash cut Hard Tips, which are all sold separately at an MSRP of $79.95 each.

Beware of a possible defect with the mounting plate. The mounting plate bolts behind the right lower frame cover, and replaces the stock exhaust mount. Snake Exhaust System (partial slip-on)

Hey folks, as I'm adding to the first post write-up, please reply here, or send me a PM with any corrections you may find.

THANKS!

Hey Slim! Cool post! I know it's already a lot of work, but just to suggest, it might be cool to have a "street price" as well as the MSRP.

Thanks for the suggestion. My reply to that would be, what is the street price?

All of these systems can be found in so many places on the net. I'm trying to make the first post above very "official". That not only includes current MSRP, but system picture display, too. As y'all may have already noticed, whenever there is a system listed, and it is still being manufactured, I've posted a direct link over that respective exhaust's name.

There have been some exceptions. Like for example, the official Violater pic was so small, I wanted to include another one too (C50Scotty). And I couldn't for the life of me find an official Jardine photo of their taper system on a Vol/C50/M50, so I just used a picture from Sanos' bike.

Ugh... Roadhouse is gonna be a bear. Their site is terrible when it comes to pics and fitment for the baffles and exhaust tips selection...

Maybe tomorrow... I'm going to bed!
