Was passed this from a friend on Facebook, ...

here is the same from CBS, ...

Lane-Splitting Confrontation Caught On Camera CBS Los Angeles

Let's not brake any mirrors. Just get a pic/video and report it to the CHP.

The comments on Facebook about instigating violence, (ie braking mirrors, windshields), is what escalates the situation, where only some education and a hefty fine will raise more visibility to this problem.

Escalation of broken mirrors or even a finger and choice words can end up costing someones life. It's just not worth it.

Exactly why I'll never lane split, even if legal.

Lane splitting is legal in California. I do it every morning and evening to/from work.
If your patient and can wait until they drivers see you in their mirrors, most of them will give way to you. For those that don't, I just wait until the next lane moves fast enough to pass them.

I also have a camera on my helmet that seems to change the attitude of the drivers a lot. People tend not to make stupid moves on the freeway when they know someone is recording their actions.

I've lane split in CA...didn't think I was going to until I got there. I was on a huge highway going into L.A. and there was a section that came to a complete stop. I got in line behind a semi, preparing to wait with everybody else. To my surprise, he moved over to the edge of the lane and the truck next to him did the same, the opposite way. I quickly realized that I was expected to split through them...not doing that confused the drivers. Once I started, it became natural. Of course you do it with an extreme amount of caution, but most of the time it works very well.

I think zipping between stopped vehicles on the freeway is equivalent to playing Russian Roulette.

I'm also betting the guy using his car to block is a Sagittarius.
Those folks have issues.

It all stems from a jealousy standpoint.

They always get a present handed to them around Christmas, with the person saying, oh yeah, and Happy birthday too!

They're evil people.
