That hurt. Looked like he did not break any limbs. I know his ankles hurt.

Wow... Lucky that bike did not come down on top of him. I think I remember a story a few weeks ago where a moto cop was injured in a presidential motorcade? With that much LEO's in the video, I wonder if this is that incident?

so lets see if I got this right...even if it is in mexico City...obviously speed bumps on this street are meant to slow folks down but guess that just pertains to the common folk or peasants...I mean wherever he the president had to be ...well...don't want to get there late...may start w/o him...surprised they didn't cut a hole in the center of the bump a day earlier so the motorcade wouldn't have to be concerned about this...sure someone will be in big do-do for not having taken care of this...

I've ridden throughout Mexico with our bike and those speed bumps (topes) are huge. In most areas, traffic control is how many topes they can put in a certain area. Rumble strips, speed bumps, and more rumble strips. Instead of traffic signals, they'll use this bumps to significantly slow traffic for pedestrians zones. They'll even paint on the pavement what looks like bumps on the open highway entering a community zone with signage and all. Very deceiving if you happen to not see it... And then try to slow your speed down to not throw my wife off the back!!! As we glide through the painted area, we laugh, laugh we were almost tripped up.

I've noticed a similar thing on some rural highways both in Canada and the U.S. where it has been painted with stripes all the way across the road and the fences come up to the shoulder of the road. As you approach it appears almost like you are coming onto a Texas Gate and slow down. Guess they must have the cattle fooled too as I don't see any trying to cross.

Ouch! That had to hurt! It's not hard to miss those speed bumps when you are fixated on other things like pedestrians walking out in front of you. I've hit them too...but thankfully not on the bike (yet). Good to see what will happen I suppose. Good find!

Ride safe
