It is just me or common sense would actually prevent each one of these accidents?

No 2 and 4 are both filmed in Melbourne by our traffic Accident Commission.

No2 was eventually pulled as it created so much reaction that the motorcyclist was seen to be totally at fault because he was going a few kph over the limit. Even if he had been going the speed limit and the car pulled out .5 of a second later the same result would have happened.

There was no mention at all about the fact that the car should have looked before pulling out. There have been similar adds with pedestrians stepping out in front of cars, no blame on the pedestrians, all on the motorist.

This typical of governments having no idea of what the real issues are and basing decisions on heavily weighted surveys provided by road safety bodies with a pre determined outcomes in mind.

Now, where's that ladder so I can climb down of my soap box.

PS. No4 is spot on, typical Melbourne mix.

Cheers, Ozrider
