Good suggestions regarding adjusting your headlight and replacing with a brighter bulb. I also installed a light-bar using instructions for a home-made one on this forum. I run with a headlight modulator which alternates between the high and low beam 140 times/min (as allowed by federal law). My buddies that don't use a modulator typically ride with the high beams on during daylight hours. You can't do enough to be seen!

So I've read that some riders leave there high beams on all the time. Is this a common practice? I've thought about doing it, but fear it will p#ss off the oncoming cagers.

I ride with high beams on. It may be morally wrong but it is not illegal. My thought is I would rather have people pissed at me and see me. Than for me to be not seen and dead. I don't like upsetting the on coming people but I also don't want to upset my family by coming home dead. .

I ride with my high beams on at all times. The few times I have ridden at night I was not comfortable with how well I could see out in front of me, so I am considering adding a light bar, but I really don't like riding at night. I wonder what the motorcycle accident statistics are daytime vs night?

Get a HID kit ( w/ high low ability)
Much brighter and more likely to use low around town and traffic.

In NYC it is illegal to drive with the high beam on. I have a HID that is on the running lights. It is way brighter than the high beam anyway. People flash me all the **** time.
