Default Barbecued Biker.

When you Google search for “barbecue” you don’t expect to come up with “motorcycle” but that’s what happened here, and this one was crazy enough I thought I’d share it with y’all . . .

This guy was taking home a discarded old barbecue along the Eastern Freeway in Melbourne, Australia in 2008. Passenger in a nearby cage snapped the pic and sent it to the newspapers who published it, where it caught the attention of the police. Busted! The 29 yr old rider was fined $800 and lost his drivers license for a month. That mighta hurt, but I bet it wouldn’t have hurt as much as if he’d crashed and come off that bike on a busy freeway with a barbecue around his neck for a horse-collar!
To cap it all off, the discarded barbecue turned out to be a non-working dud anyway.
The pic was used later for motorcycle safety messages, and the guy was also approached to do an ad for a barbecue retailer.

He should have told the judge it wasn't unsafe, it was his roll cage
