I recently ordered a part for my crusier from Oneida Suzuki that wasn't the right part I was looking for. I sent it back in unused condition in original packing to them as a returned the following day. I payed return shipping fees which I expected. The part I returned was $162.00 including shipping and they credit me $107.00 plus I payed return shipping fees. To say the least this was a very expensive transaction just to open a box view it, reseal it and send it back. The next time I buy it will be from Cruiser Customizing who has great customer service unlike Oneida who wouldn't even answer their phone. I guess they rather do everything online. Cruiser Customizing gave me a honest refund for the full value of a part that I had purchased from them in the past minus shipping. Live and learn.

Your experience was a lot better than the one I had with "Viking Bags". You got off easy, but I do agree with your comment about "Cruiser Customizing".
I'll probably not deal with Oneida now, after hearing this. |

Better than half the shops round here but not by much.
I wanted to order a timing gear for my Suzuki two stroke GT380 triple (weird...I know but the 360 had a plastic gear driven off the crank that operated the cam for the points), first the fella behind the counter informs me the part doesn't exist... Says he "there's no such thing as a timing gear on a two stroke" (strike one in my book). Says I, "I took the part off the bike, I have it right here." thinks I "Ok fella let's try again". Says I "check the microfish" (yes I know it's mispelled), he checks, "ok there is a gear there but it lives outside the engine (strike two,) Thinks I "Ok this guys a not only a total putz but an idiot to boot", Says he "I can order it for you but it will be $90 and if it isn't the right part you're going to have to pay for it anyway, in advance, no refunds". Thinks I "f*** you I'm not paying for the wrong f*n part!" Says I "I'll try somewhere else". To me any shop that wants you to eat any of the costs of returning an unused part should be viewed as one not to bother with...with a small exception for a special order that they would not otherwise have on hand and would be unable to return to their vendor for a refund. A little history for this cool little brother of the legendary GT750 Water Buffalo Suzuki GT series - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and a pic of one exactly like mine.

A buddy of mine had a 380 and the front brake was powerful enough he could squeek the front tire with a quick grab on the lever. I bought a new 1976 GT 550 and road it from Ontario to the west coast and back. Put 17,000 miles on it in one season. It had a nice purr to it as long as the engine was pulling something of a load. I thought the engine ran smoother than the GS 750 I bought the next year. The 750 was faster and handled better but I still wished it was as smooth as the 550.

I purchased my saddlebags from them and they were a nightmare. Will never deal with them or Powersport Superstore again.
