Default WingShields hand protection by Brukus

Just back from OctoVRFest, and the hand protection I had installed on my Victory Cross Roads garnered some attention. So I thought I would post about it here, since (unlike National Cycle's product) this solution will fit just about any metric motorcycle.

The product is called WingShields by Brukus Motorcycle Parts. The shields mount very easily on the mirror stems and are simple to adjust closer or farther out. They are sturdy at super-slab speeds, and I think they look fine with my stock windshield.

Coming home from work recently, I got caught in a thunderstorm, and these really helped my hands and the controls stay drier, which improved my comfort and confidence.

After 600+ miles of interstate riding in cool temps, I can say they help somewhat to reduce wind chill, but not a ton. I was not expecting a miracle there, and maybe you should not, either. However, they sure kept a buncha bugs off my knuckles!

I'm very satisfied with the WingShields. Truthfully, my hands have not felt this comfortable since I stopped riding a fully-faired bike.

Here's a link to the product on the Brukus web site.

An English version is also available to fit Harleys.

Here's what the WingShields look like mounted on Dr. Pepper.

National Cycle Handguards are another option. Love mine, warm dry hands year-round.

National Cycle attach to the mirror stem and fit most bikes even though all bikes are not listed. There are different length stems and they will fit the Volusia or C50.

... unless National Cycle doesn't make a model for your particular bike. They don't, for mine. In fact I had to do a lot of searching to find something that would fit the Cross Roads.

Attaching as they do to the mirror mounts, the Brukus WingShields are a pretty versatile solution for any metric motorcycle, IMHO.

Hmm, National Cycle specifically advertises them as fitting the cross roads:

I got a pair of the Brukus on my C50T. The seller is right here local in Charleston so I just dropped by their place, very nice and good customer service.
