2011 highway bars

I know there are a few 2011 c50/c50t owners here. I'm told the cobra bars that fit 05-09's aren't being made for 2011's yet. Anyone found out any different or know a similar product that works?

I'd also be interested in knowing what's a good fit for a 2010. Something that doesn't interfere with the 'oil filter' when doing an oil change. I've heard that with some sets, you can't get the oil filter off without loosening the bars at the bottom, and moving them out of the way. Those are definately the kind "I do not want"!

After Monday & Tuesday even the rest of the week says W T F

BTW, In "Dog Beers", I've only had "2"!

Hmm, as far as I know there is no difference from 2009 to current. 2008 and older are a little different but when it comes to the highway bars they should all work.

I have the John's kit installed on my bike along with a Cobra bar. The kit moves the bar forward a few inches and that allows easy access to the filter. But even without the John's kit I could get the filter out from underneath no problem with my bike on a lift/jack.

I went with the smaller highway bars on my 2011 C50T like these:

To my knowledge the gang is right...there isn't any difference in the years.
Hope that helps a little.

If you have stock pipes the Cobra does not interfare with the oil filter, but with aftermarket pipes you have to remove bottom bolts and swing it forward a bit, takes a extra ten minutes to do. We have two Vols one with stock one with HK's, just means I get time for a extra beer when changing oil

That's what I was hoping to hear. I guess worst case i have 14 days to return them and it'll cost me the shipping back. I don't know what's different but most EBay sellers have them labeled as 05-09.

I'd call those "Engine Guards", NOT "Highway Bars".
BTW, nice color combo on your C50T!

I can't say anything about the fit on a 2009 & up, I had a 2005...but, even with Cobra bars on mine I never once loosened the bars. Even if you couldn't get the filter out the front, after you spin it off, hold it upright and you can pull it up & out the right side of the engine (? seated orientation) past the brake pedal. Pretty simple on the older bikes, but don't know if anything has changed that would prevent that now. I used to have pictures since we had this conversation often, but can't find them now. Must have deleted them when I traded bikes.

Jen, not sure if aftermarket pipes would interfere with this path? I had V&H Cruzers which I swapped on and off the bike and I don't ever remember having a problem getting the oil filter out. It is remotely possible I never did an oil change with them on however -- after one 3k road trip I always took them off when I went on the road. Now changing the oil on the Strat...what a PITA.

OK, I found the pic...here's the alternate path out if you can't get it out the front.

thanks it kinda' grew on me...and you are right too. Somehow I knew I'd get corrected on that...but still don't see the difference when throw a set of pegs on them and they serve the same purpose. Oh well...learn something new every day.
