10/16 on my Bandit 1200, there is a nice sharp & wide right turn on to the highway home after work, no-one was around so I pushed for a quick-turn, peg scraped heavily, my hard givi bag grounded hard and the bike went out from under me, 20-30 mph. I was definitely off the brakes but likely had some weight on the inside bar- had been having problems with distractions causing that for a couple days.
It spun a few times on the right side and skated into the middle of the turn, I got over picked it up and got to the roadside. ATGATT and I landed mostly on the armor so I only hyperextended my left knee, hurt a couple left fingers. Right cuff of textile pants torn... Strained my right shoulder getting the bike up..owie.. Couldn't get a purchase on the fender for a butt-against-seat lift. Bent the right bar into a clip-on position, mangled right peg and rear brake pedal, thank goodness for the engine guards, no damage there. Right rearset broken so no rear brakes at all but the bike was otherwise rideable so I made it home. I have replacement parts on the way, probably 10 days till I'm riding again. Thank goodness nobody got hurt and I didn't hit anyone. Take care out there everyone! Greg
