Lost some feathers - Suzuki Volusia Forums : Intruder Volusia and Boulevard Forum

Well,
The Bird lost some feathers today at 1:00pm...as the Bigbird went down at 45mph as a non-attentive cager pulled out in front of me and I had to lay my Beautiful Bike down...I rolled over a total of 8 times and I saw every one of them through my face shield...HJC makes a Wonderful Helmet...this is the 2nd one of these that has saved my life through a 45mph lay-down. I will be buying another...I did have the luck of the cager stopping...he came up and apologizing to me and stating that he didn't see me...be-it I have Halogen Driving Lights and Dual Modulating Halogens Headlights as well...I can't see me either...

. I sustained a compression fraction to my lower back, bruised hip, knee and ankle and road rash, oh and all of my left toes were bruised-up from the shifter...I am pretty sore but in good spirits but haven't seen my bike...the Ambulance driver said they will be buying me a new one. I am now trying to locate it...I will post pix as soon as I can along with the pix of my helmet...

From your description of the accident, it sounds like you are lucky to be alive. Prayers going out for a speedy recovery.

Glad you're okay BB. Guardian angels working overtime. I know that drivers are more worried about their facebook status these days than paying attention to their driving. Will you be getting a new C50? If so, I know a guy who sells a final drive mod! ar ar.
