Happened last Wednesday, the 10th of October. Riding in to work - about a block from my parking space. A civic pulls over to the right lane from in front of me in the left lane. The civic slows down as I continue forward, passing it. He then yanks hard left to do a u-turn - across both lanes - in order to go for a parking spot he saw on the other side of the street. I swerved left, but he kept coming and metal combined in the center of the road.
I am doing much better - nothing broken somehow. Although it was a very low speed crash. The bike has been considered finished. I liked that bike. I just struck me yesterday that I'll no longer be riding to work starting this week. At least I still get to GO to work... |

Glad you weren't hurt. I hope the idiot in the Civic was cited.

Yikes! Lucky for you to get away unbroken.
Sounds like you'll be shopping soon.

That seriously bites...except the bike can be replaced. Glad you were okay and nothing broken. I'm sure all parties involved were glad of that.
