It's been slow for quite a while on my end. I've gotten used to waiting for the header ad to load before trying to access a thread or to quote. Unfortunately, it now takes about 3times longer to catch up on things here.

i thought that was what was happening now

I swear to God between the post I made above and trying to quote this post I had to shut the site down and restart it. I can't believe it.

If you're going to try and blow smoke up our ass you can at least write a small essay and try to sugarcoat it. We are losing members due to site problems. If it was just a glitch that would be understandable. It's like every change made after the site was taken over has been for the worse including a security breach. I personally have never experienced such incompetence from any other site ever.

I can send you a password reset if you need to get your account reset. and we deal with everything as a team.

What's the matter with the speed of this site? When I change pages my computer keeps searching until it times itself out and then a popup comes up asking me if I want to wait or kill it. I don't wait that long anymore so much as I just close the site window and reopen it. This is the only site that acts that way. The only time I see a wheel spinning on a page tab is when I first start up my computer and it locks in quick. There's definitely something wrong here. Nevermind all the crap we've all been through on the phone apps. We won't even go there because no one would like to hear what I really think.
Unresponsive scripts are extremely common issues with members and moderators across all boards. these issues have a number of troubleshooting ways to fix it.

Shockwave is usually a pretty big factor in this, along with outdated browsers, flash, java, and not having enough processing power on whatever device you are accessing the board with.

Below are common fixes to fix this. video ad's can be turned to "click to play" instead of autplaying. and a few other fixes can be applied as well to streamline your browser experience.

If it is still an issue, it could be a rogue Ad with bad stuff attached potentially.

keep in mind a number of things can cause this, not just the back end. but could be extensions, plugins, malware, etc.

here is the more common fixes for this:

- shockwave being unstable. disabling or deleting this could help
- updating your flash and java to the lastest update
- any rogue extensions that "auto installed" on your browser without you knowing.
- malware or spyware has piggybacked your browser
- hardware acceleration could be incompatible with your system in general.
- Rogue Ad causing the issue as well.
- Cookies and cache are outdated and need to be cleaned
- temporary internet files on your back end are flooding and fighting for use. doing a disk clean up could help as well.

Hopefully that helps to sort out your unresponsive script issue, if not, ill need to know the following:

- What you are doing at the time that it goes unresponsive
- Device or system this is happening on
- Browsers this is reacting in
- a pastebin of the "debug script" so i can take a closer look. you can paste it in a pastebin for me Pastebin.com - #1 paste tool since 2002!
- is this happening every time? or just sometimes?

For App issues, you need to be more specific about the issue with the app. are you speaking of an autoguide app? tapatalk? let me know, and ill look into it for you. also i need to know what the issue is, not just know its "an issue".

No smoke here, I am trying to help and assist here. But you are right, i should of put some explanation to my post more. Im rectifying that here by responding to your issues and doing my best to not "sugar coat" anything for you, but be as precise and on point as possible.

Im more then willing to help you out and fix these problems, but I need more to go on then "there is issues, fix them". for me to send in any technical bug report to the tech department, i need information and technical details so i can translate the issue to the techs who are not here working through them, but explain them in full detail so they understand where the problem lies at the heart of the issue.

let me know, we will get this figured out together, no problem.

When I try to to quote another poster's material, the page becomes as if locked, and I have to force a total closing of this site.
Not only the forum page, but My Admin page also acts as if locked, and must be forced to close as well.
This has been going on now for close to a month, and quite a few members seem to be affected.

Can you get me the following please?:

- Browser you are using and others you tested it on
- Layout you are using
- devices you are on
- if mobile, ill need to know if its enhanced mobile view or desktop view
- all areas this stalling happens
- when the error pops up again, click the debug script button, and copy all of it and post it in a pastebin for me ( Pastebin.com - #1 paste tool since 2002! )

I think ive seen this before, just need all the necessary information and ill take a further look no problem. can you look into turning off any shock wave plugins attached to your browser, and do a disk clean up on your end outside the browser, along with turning off hardware acceleration as well. your system might be incompatible with it. also make sure your java is up to date as well. either way, get me the above. we will get it figured out. if it is what i think it is, it may be a bug.

I just updated my ad-blocking software. On one page reload, it blocked 10 separate ads. ON the mobile version, the ads take so long to load it causes the entire app to freeze. Maybe if the corporate overlords cut back on shoving ads down to our browsers, it might run faster?
Ad's pay for site maintenance, keep a constant team working on the technical end, database storage, tech support (hello there!) along with keeping the site free for all. you do have options though. id never ask you to not use an ad blocker, nor would id force you to pay anything to use the site. but we do have options for limited ads to pop up along with other perks as well on the site. you can check this out with premium memberships. Ad revenue is not "just this site" thing. places like facebook, imgur, instagram, twitter, etc. all have ad revenue models. you can take a look at the premium options if you like. again, the site is free and stays going because of ad revenue in general and memberships to keep it going. hosting forums and websites can get expensive depending on the traffic in general.

you can see the perks of memberships here. http://www.volusiariders.com/payments.php

let me know if you have any other questions.

This issue is only on the VR site. I belong to other vBulletin sites, and no problems, what_so_ever.
I've had the locking issue using Chrome, Opera, Internet Explorer, and Firefox browsers. Really doesn't matter which browser is used, the VR site acts the same.
Layout is VR Full-Dark, device is My HP Pavillion HPE desktop PC, using Windows 7 Premium Op Sys.
Anytime that I try to QUOTE a post, that action immediately "locks" the page, as well as My Administrator's page.
BTW, all of the quotes in My posts of late, have been manually added, without using the QUOTE button.

No debug message....it simply locks up the forum page, and My Admin's page as well.
Image below shows what I receive:

For starters I did a system restore as well as ran a virus program 4x this week so there's nothing wrong with my system.

Before making this post I had to close the site and relog in. Problem is when I make a post and go back to the Active Topics page the wheel keeps turning so long a window pops up and asks me if I would like to wait or kill the site. I have 50mbps and feel like I have dial up on this site at times. This is the only site it happens on. Spin it anyway you like but the fact remains........

I also have problems with the VR site but with no other sites I'm in. A very reoccurring problem is that the pages are not centered and I can't really read what it says. Two different pages at the same time and can't read enough of either one to make sense but it's worth the wait for it to fix it's self to get back in and communicate with all of you awesome members.
