Forgive me for asking but trying to beat the rain. In the maual it shows the washers and it looks like the flat washer goes first and then the beveled type. Can anyone confirm? It was installed beveled type first and then flat and I believe that is wrong.

Anyone have a thought? Looks like I've stumbled on to a common question for as long as Suzuki has been adding these springs, Across all their bikes - some say one way some say another, some guys even remove them. May just try as is and see what happens approach.

The parts break down shows that the wave washer goes in FIRST - next to the clutch basket and the flat washer goes SECOND - against the clutch plate to provide a ''seat'' for the wave washer. That is what makes the most sense.

Thank you for your reply. In the service manual it states the oposite that the flat washer goes first. (Wish I could post that picture) Also found a reference that the flat washer is used to protect the clutch basket from the wave spring, and I did see evidence of scoring with mine installed wave first. Like I mentioned there is dozens of posts on this exact issue across all Suzuki clutches of this type and not one decisive answer. One post stated the factory even mixes them around. So confusing! I will say that I've run about 300 miles so far with no noticeable issues, although it may pay to open it back up.
