I have been looking for metallic blue grips and other accessories high and low, and I finally found a set of 1 inch grips in metallic blue---Pro Grip 866 Chromed Rubber Grips - RevZilla

For some reason manufacturers seem to think only sport bikes need shiny blue stuff.:biglaugh: I was afraid I was going to have to change my bars out just to put on the grips I wanted.

Has anyone tried these in a different color?

The grips arrived today. Unfortunately, while they are both metallic blue, they are two entirely different shades. Either shade would look cool, but one appears to be either terribly sunfaded or a beginning or end of production piece, with the color swirled and slightly off tint. Back to the drawing board:curse:

Of course, one could always cut the grips to remove, but that renders them useless, afterward.

I always used a slim, long screwdriver, slide it under the grip progressively, while spraying a lubricant such as WD40, between the handlebar and/or throttle sleeve and the grip material.
Working My way around the grip deeper and deeper, eventually, the grip will be freed from the handlebar, or throttle sleeve.

Afterward, be certain to thoroughly cleanse the throttle sleeve and/or handlebar of the lubricant used, before mounting the new grips.
Some folks use hairspray and 3M two faced tape to mount the new grips, but instead, I always used weatherstrip adhesive, and allowed it to harden, overnight.
It may be helpful to lightly rough up the chrome handlebar surface, (under the grip only), and the throttle sleeve as well, before applying weatherstrip adhesive.

A word to the wise: cover the fuel tank with clean towels or other thick, protective materials.
