on your petcock. the top hose with a spring over it is the fuel line to pump. The hose below it connects to the intake and is a vaccum hose that will take vaccum from engine while cranking and operate the fuel pump.
Just look under the tank at the petcock and make sure the vaccum line is hooked up. The coolant overflow should run from the cap down the frame to the left side of the bike under the left cover where the overflow bottle is. A clear hose from the carb, which is a vent. Should go into a hole near the neck under the tank and is just a vent it connects to nothing else.

Just to update...let's see....how do I put this....I'M RIDING AGAIN!!!!!!
![]() As it turns out, 1st it was one issue, and then another that was kinda caused by the whole situation. First thing I did was check the hoses and stuff on the F connector because I was sure that was the culprit. It's been 5 years since I took the tank off a Vol, so I had totally forgotten about those hoses. Anyway, the long hose coming from the carb area that connects to the long part of the F connector wasn't connected, nor was the short little section that goes to the L connection of the petc0ck. But once I got those connected, my dreams of having it fire right up faded with the first push of the starter button. I started noticing display fading out a bit when trying to crank, as well as the bike hesitating a bunch when trying to turn over....so I think the numerous attempts had drained the battery enough. A friend of mine came over and did enough choke/throttle/etc jimmying (along with jumper cables at the same time) go get it to stay running and let all the roughness work out. I'm sure I had flooded it at some point so it was just a few things working against me. After all that we let it idle for quite some time, and all was good to go. Rode it last night and again today to work...and I couldn't be more excited. One quick question...the little hoses that are under there....mine show some sign of wear, dry rotting, etc. Do I just pick those up from the dealer? Are they special Suzuki hoses or can I get them anywhere? Thanks for all the help...will change out plugs, etc this offseason...but in the meantime, it's sunny and 70 today so ..... well.......**fires up engine and signs off**.....
