Default Helloooooooooooo

Hello To All,

I'm new here so I'll get right to it. Just picked up a nice 05 Boulevard c50, and when I went to get gas, the cap would not open!.

I have herd from others that this is a problem with a few, but any help would be great.

The key goes in, I turn it but nothing, the cap won't move. Is it suppose to turn or pop open, I haven't had this bike before so I'm not sure.

Dave

Key must turn 90 degrees, pull up after turning. Also is the key slot pointed straight forward on the fuel tank? May be slightly off. It has 2 slots inside for latching mechanism.

Lube the mech. up with some wd 40 the next time you have it off, and a little grease on the rubber seal.

Welcome from Florida...

When I cleaned and coated my tank last year I had to keep the coating away from the fill cap due to such a tight fit... Even today the cap is 'snug'.
