Starter relay/main fuse box connection?

I've seen some VRs make their positive connection to the battery lead wire under the starter relay/main fuse box instead of connecting directly to the battery. What are the pros and cons of the former?

Thank you!

I suppose if someone wanted to use the starter relay to control an accessory they would wire that way. I preferred to add another relay with an inline fuse for an accessory block I added. I know the loads through that relay are separate from the starter circuit.

Thanks Mr. P, but that's not what I'm talking about.

I'll try to be more clear. Most people connect their accessory lead wire to the positive terminal on the battery for power (underneath the red plastic cover in the picture below). However, I've seen some instances where one attaches their lead wire to the battery lead wire under the starter relay/main fuse box.

In the picture below, it's where the yellow wire is going:

What are the pros and cons of doing this?
Thanks!
