Need a LIGHT BAR for C50T - I've heard Horror Stories

I'd like to install a light bar on my C50T.
Of course the C50T model designation means the bike comes with the standard OEM windshield and engine guards. And I've heard horror stories about getting a good fitting light bar that doesn't have conflicts with one or both of those other OEM accessories.
Anybody have the very LATEST info on this.
My C50T is a 2008 model.
Tnx. -OBF

I recently installed a Suzuki OEM lightbar on my 2006 C50T and it looks and fits great. I love it, and it provides significantly greater visibility during the day and greatly enhanced lighting (obviously) at night.

I have the same bike and put on a VA lightbar, it mounts to your windshield. Looks great, good quality and easy install. Pictures in my gallery.

I have cobra bars, MS lowers and Highway pegs. Nothing touches.

Get the OEM lightbar and you will have no issues with the rest of your equipment, even allows installation of Cobra highway bars. We have one bike with the OEM lightbar, no problems, see our gallery. The other has Kuryakyn lightbar, major work, mod the windshield brackets, make an extension plate, no nice way to hang turnsignals. Be sure to add a relay no matter which lightbar you get.

Unless you put the light bar on it's own circuit (powered directly off the battery) and tie it into the ignition switch with a relay, you run the risk of overloading and burning out the ignition or the wiring harness.

The standard light bar adds a 70 watt, 5.8 amp load to the ignition circuit. It's not an immediate problem, but can cause a cumulative failure (as other owners have found out the hard way).

The wiring and charging system on the C50 is pretty light duty.

Garage
Note on the OEM light bar:
The bar eats OEM bulbs. switching to 4411 or 4416 (lens looks more like the C50 headlight).
Also the bar is noted for losing turn sigs by cracking or attachment backing off.

If you can't trust SUZUKI to build a quality part, then maybe Wehr has the right idea.

This doesn't look all that difficult.
Thanks for the update, guys.
