Default ignition Wiring

Someone (me) tried to jimmy the lock on the VOL. I lost the key and was far from home with little chance of getting home. Well that did not work. I got a ride home grabbed the spare key. Now the lock does not work.

All it does is go from the off position to the lock pos.

Does anyone know how to hot wire this thing. I can order a new lock later.

I've located the wire connection. I just do not know what wires to jump.

Depending what year the bike is. I saw the wiring diagram for the vol. and as I remember there is 5 or 6 wires. Cannot help you there, (Most likely the 2 heavier wires are the ignition) but the C50 has 4 wires to the switch, The 2 smaller wires are for the emergency tail light. The 2 larger wires are for the ignition. You can jumper these 2 wires . I bought a switch from a Oneida Suzuki (not cheap) and mounted it by the win shield where I can get at it easy. I can still use the original to lock the fork. Good luck,

Jump the red and orange wires. If you want to turn on everything, also jump the orange w/yellow tracer and black w/white tracer wires and the green and brown wires.
