Ok I wanted to know what you guys think about removal of baffles . I have a 2001 intruder and I am thinking about removing the baffles and installing lollipops. Your thought are greatly appreciated. I did the thing with the 1/2 pipe but still would like it to be louder and when I let off I have popping. Just want that loud deep sound

I have a 2000 Intruder with Cobra Drag pipes and no baffles. Very loud and a lot of pop when letting off the throttle. Only issue was on long rides at cruising speeds the constant loud roar got annoying. Other than that it was great, especially around town.
Just actually used the sink strainer baffle mod Turbo-T posted for use when doing longer rides. I can say that mine was one of loudest bikes on the road with the baffles out. |

I am very happy with the de-baffle and de-mickey mod, it has a good tone and fairly loud. Best of all it only costed some elbow grease. Go for it!
Hey, is the Boaz for Boaz, Alabama? Last edited by tidcab; 10-30-2012 at 11:26 PM. |

I have a set of Cobra's the came on the bike when I bought it. Around town & short rides it doesn't bother me. I wear earplugs for a long ride. It took a little while to get used to wearing them because they change the sound of the bike so much.
