Hello All,
I am just over 6000 miles on my 09 C50 that i nabbed new/untitled in April of 2011. Since my initial purchase I have added saddleman bags, cobra sissy bar/luggage rack, NC 2-up switchblade windshield w/lowers. I anticipate doing some longer rides in the future and the items i have left on my list are a Mustang Seat and some engine guards/highway bars. I currently prefer the tighter fit of the OEM bars from a personal visual preference point of view. I would love to get some input from the membership here regarding brands and styles of bars i should consider. THANKS IN ADVANCE!! The first pic was posted by "nfallon55" from another thread that shows 3 distinct options for engine guards/highway bars. The lower pic was posted by "10-64" in the same thread. "The bike on the left is the one with OEM bars, the one in the middle has Lindy, and the one on the right has Cobra." nfallon55 ![]() "These are the OEM Engine Guards on my '10 C50T..." 10-64

The Lindy or Cobra bars will protect your bike more if you were to drop it.... I guess that is why they call them "crash bars ". The only thing the engine guards are good for is mounting pegs.

But then again, I have the OEM Engine guards (pic of my bars posted in the original post! .....hehe) I just like the cleaner look of them. I'm not keen on the "Lindy" bars though. Just something about them that I don't like. |

Do you have any issues with the highway pegs in that position on the OEM bars. I tried putting my pegs high like that and kept hitting the air cleaner.

(Rivco 2" peg extensions) ![]() Show Chrome makes some sort of in between. I probably would have gone with these myself but still like the smaller look on the C50. Just something different is all.

No, but I am using the Kuryakin Longhorn Offsets. A friend of mine is also using the Kuryakin pegs, but a different style mount, and has no issues with his either.
